"Tick, Tick, Boom!" is the twenty-third episode of Season 2 of Bring It!. It first aired on September 18th, 2015.
Synopsis[]
With the Summer Slam Dance Championship only week away, the girls feel extra pressure to show off their talents and prove to Miss D that they have what it takes to be captain of the team next season. Emotions are running high in the Dollhouse as Kayla and Sunjai graduate from High School.
Summary[]
This week's competition is in New Orleans, Louisiana at the 'Buck Wars Dance Competition'. There is a creative dance and a stand battle.
THREE DAYS TO THE COMPETITION
In the DDP screening room, Selena and Tina discuss their daughters' graduation and Selena invites Tina and her family over to her house to take photos.
Back in the studio, Miss D is conflicted over whom she will choose for captain for the stand battle this week. She notes that three girls are in the running to become captain after Kayla retires: Camryn, Crystianna and Makalah. Miss D decides that she will pull a name out of a box later to choose this week's captain, as she cannot decide herself.
Miss D discusses the graduating seniors on the team, namely Sunjai and Kayla. Other dancers ZaKia, Dominique, Brandye, Tatianna, and Shayla are also graduating. The Dolls begin practising the African creative dance. The Dolls struggle to keep up their energy during practice, due to the high intensity of the routine.
TWO DAYS TO THE COMPETITION
Before moving on to stand battle practice, Dianna decides on the captain by pulling a name out of a box. Makalah is chosen to be captain this week.
ONE DAY TO THE COMPETITION
Kayla and Sunjai are getting ready for graduation at Sunjai's house. The girls' family and friends get emotional seeing the two girls dressed in their robes. They all go outside to take photos and JJ turns up in a new car for Sunjai. She drives off to graduation with Kayla.
THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION
The day of the competition arrives and the creative dance category is first. The Divas of Compton perform first with a Michael Jackson-inspired creative. Then Xplosive Dance Company are next with a circus-themed creative. D3 Elite are next to perform with a Time Machine-themed creative, with dances from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. Finally, the Dolls perform their African creative and the second group in the dance have many mistakes. Jalen fell and the mothers call her out her mother for the mistake. The dance ends and the mothers are worried.
Stand battle commences and Makalah does a good job and the Dolls win the first round of the stand battle against D3 Elite. The Dolls move on to the final round and are competing against Xplosive Dance Company.
At the awards ceremony, the Dancing Dolls win both creative dance and stand battle.
