Summary[]
This week's competition is in Jackson, Mississippi at the 'Dolls vs. Dolls' competition. There will be a stand battle and a captain's battle.
THREE DAYS TO THE COMPETITION
Brandon has returned to the porch and the rest of the parents are happy to see him.
Miss D announces that the two finalists for the captain's position are Makya and Crystianna. Princess was told she did well throughout the season but Dianna does not believe she is ready to be the captain of the Jackson team. Tanishia is disappointed for her daughter.
This week's competition will have Crystianna and Makya splitting the Dolls into two teams and their teams will battle each other. Miss D will not help either team and the two potential captains must lead their teams to victory. Dianna brings in Tina and Mimi who will mentor the teams. Mimi is mentoring Crystianna's team and Tina is mentoring Makya's team. Crystianna's team is allowed to practice at the Dollhouse and Makya's team is sent to another studio.
At Team Crystianna, they are creating choreography for their stands and Crystianna is allowing suggestions from other team members. Miss D arrives to observe practice. Mimi tells Dianna that Crystianna is not taking charge and leading her team. Crystianna shows Miss D what she has done so far and Miss D is not impressed at all. She tells Crystianna she needs to take this more seriously and then leaves to see Makya's team. Mimi comforts Crystianna when she starts crying.
Over with Team Makya, Tina does not think that Makya is leading her team and she speaks to her about it. Makya goes back over and takes control of the team. Dianna arrives and Tina fills her in on what has happened so far. She is impressed that Makya is leading her team well and she feels Makya is better than Crystianna at this point.
TWO DAYS TO THE COMPETITION
Princess and Tanishia are driving and Tanishia asks her how she feels about last night. Princess says she is fine with being a team player and Tanishia complements her good attitude. She however feels that Princess was robbed of the captain's position and that she will look into other opportunities for them. She asks Princess about Atlanta and Princess remains silent.
That night with Team Crystianna, Crystianna wants to use Tanishia in one of the stands and Tanishia has brought her batons as she used to be a twirler. She struggles a bit with the choreographer and Crystianna tells her to keep practicing at the back.
Over with Team Makya, Makya has chosen JJ as their out-of-the-box element. The twins are embarrassed by their father. The team are trying to work on a canon dance move which they call "Tick Tick Boom", after Makya's nickname. The team are struggling with it and Tina feels unsure if the move is going to go well.
ONE DAY TO THE COMPETITION
Dianna arrives at the studio to see Team Crystianna and she speaks to Mimi and Torrey about how the practice has been going. Torrey and Mimi say it has been going well but Tanishia hasn't done as well. Dianna asks to see Tanishia's part in the routine. Miss D is not impressed and feels Crystianna is relying too heavily on the batons.
Team Makya are practising their stands repeatedly until they are confident with them and they stop. Tina asks if they are sure they want to stop practising as Dianna is on the way and Makya is sure. They sit around for about 40 minutes and then Dianna arrives and speaks to Tina. Tina fills her in on what is happening and Dianna is not happy. Makya tells Miss D that they have run through their stands and are confident with them and Miss D tells them off and walks away. Makya starts crying.
THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION
Crystianna says her team stayed up late last night cleaning up their routine and her team is feeling good about the competition. Makya gives her team a pep talk and tells them to forget about the struggles they had on the first day. Both teams pray with Dianna before the competition begins.
Dianna wanted to make the competition feel real so she got Jay Fever to host, she got judges (one being Charkeitha Ramey and the other called Armon) and trophies. Makya and Crystianna shake hands and the competition begins with Team Makya going first.
Miss D likes Makya's first stand and how she utilises the more technical dancers like Jaylene, Daija, and Faith. Team Crystianna does well and Miss D is impressed with how Crystianna handled all the veteran dancers on the team. Then Team Crystianna do their next stand with Tanishia and Tanishia performs well. Then Makya does her stand with props using JJ. The judges and crowd love JJ's performance especially when he does a back tuck. Then, Makya's team perform the "Tick Tick Boom" move and Dianna's jaw drops.
The captain's battle begins with Makya going first. Dianna liked how original her performance was. Crystianna goes next and Dianna feels Crystianna is holding back and is disappointed.
The awards ceremony begins and Team Crystianna wins the stand battle and Makya wins the captain's battle. Dianna takes the microphone from Jay, she congratulates both teams and announces that she will announce the captain of the team next week as they both won one category and they both had their failings during the week.
