"Survival of the Fittest" is the seventeenth episode of Season 5 of Bring It!. It first aired on February 7th, 2019.
Synopsis[]
Coach D must prepare the team for a huge survivor-style elimination match, where heavy hitters can be picked off by the opposing teams. To add to Coach D's headaches, Jaylene battles personal demons that affect her performance and one of the vets suffers a debilitating injury which jeopardizes the competition. The fate of co-head captain Crystianna is decided.

This week's competition is in Yazoo City, Mississippi at the 'Stands and Deliver' competition. There will be a survivor's stand battle.
THREE DAYS TO THE COMPETITION (WEDNESDAY)
Miss D announces that Crystianna will not be returning to the Dollhouse for the rest of the season. The girls are upset by the news. Marquell is not present this week as he is in Birmingham. There is a survivors stand battle, each round the other team will be able to eliminate one person from the opposing team.
The boys have been taught the choreography for one of the stands last week from Marquell. The girls start working on their stands and as Faith is dancing, she says her knee is feeling weird. Jaylene also seems to be off and she is not dancing well. She says she is not mentally at practice at this moment. Dianna is critiquing her and Maraela is frustrated with Dianna. Jaylene continues to struggle and Miss D tells her that she needs to improve and fix her face. Miss D dismisses the team but she calls over Jaylene.
The pair sit down and Miss D asks her what is wrong. Jaylene admits she is feeling down and she tells Dianna that her grandmother is not doing well. Jaylene's grand-aunt passed away and now her grandmother is alone in New York. Jaylene is worried for her grandmother. Miss D thanks her for telling her what is going on and tells her to let practice be the place where she can forget about those things for a while. The pair hug.
TWO DAYS TO THE COMPETITION (THURSDAY)
At Maraela's home, Jaylene and her mother have a baby hedgehog they are looking after. Maraela asks Jaylene about last night and Jaylene says she cannot focus because of everything going on in her life. Maraela empathises with her daughter as they did make a big move and Jaylene does not have a lot of friends in Mississippi. Maraela asks if Jaylene wants to hang out with the girls outside of practice and Jaylene says she does not know. Maraela asks her daughter to try to make some more friends with the girls and Jaylene says she will.
That evening, Miss D holds cuts for the stand battle this week and she runs the stand with the boys in. She is unimpressed with the boy's performance as they have had a lot of time to practice. Dianna notices that Faith is holding her knee and Faith says her knee feels sensitive.
Outside on the porch, Maraela tells the rest of the DDPs about what is going on with her daughter. Raeneisha empathises with Maraela as her brothers have felt the same way. Dana suggests a team bonding trip where all of the new members of the team can bond with the veterans.
ONE DAY TO THE COMPETITION (FRIDAY)
Mimi tells the rest of the DDPs that Dana and Faith are not coming to practice as Faith hurt her knee last night. Dianna announces this to the team and she tells them they need to step up.
Miss D has chosen to include the Baby Dancing Dolls of Birmingham as the team's out-of-the-box element for one of the stands. They are creating a stand for Black Ice called 'Black Ice Cube Land' where the babies will be Eskimos. The babies are not doing well and Miss D cuts a lot of them from the stand.
SATURDAY
The DDPs and the girls and boys go to a trampoline park. Faith comes along and stands on the side by her team. Tre and Princess are jumping around together and Tanishia says she hopes the boys do not get too acquainted with the girls as she will not let her daughter date as she is 14. Maraela is happy to see Jaylene having fun and getting closer to her team.
THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION (SUNDAY)
Dana and Faith have decided to come to the competition to cheer their team on. The DDPs are happy to see them.
The competition begins with the Dolls battling Xplosive Dance Company and Xplosive has brought a lot of dancers. Makya is feeling nervous about leading the team without Crystianna. Charkeitha joins her team during a stand and Miss D is impressed with the stunt she does. The Dolls throw their first stand and Dianna is impressed with how well her team is doing. Jaylene impresses the crowd with her stunts.
During the elimination section, The Dolls vote off the captain of Xplosive and Jaylene is eliminated from the Dolls.
The second round begins between the Dolls and Xplosive. The Dancing Dolls win the stand battle and make it to the final round. Black Ice beat St. Pete Prima Donnas and has also moved on to the finals.
The final round commences between Black Ice and the Dancing Dolls. Camryn is voted off after the first round. The second round begins and the team throw their 'Black Ice Cube Land' stand and the boys and babies join the battle squad.
The awards ceremony begins and Black Ice win the survivor's stand battle.
