Synopsis[]
The Dancing Dolls challenge their rivals, the Divas of Olive Branch, to a no-holds-barred "Street Battle", to settle once and for all which dance team is the best. The event soon gets out of hand, however, when tension on the dance floor sparks a clash between dancers and spectators. Meanwhile, Camryn gets a chance to lead the Dancing Dolls during a parade and show Miss Dianna that she has what it takes to be captain.
Summary[]
This week's competition was originally meant to be held in Memphis, Tennessee and hosted by the Dazzling Glamorettes. It was also going to feature a pom-pom routine and a stand battle. There is also a parade this week in the Canton City of Lights parade in Canton, Mississippi. The parade is led by Camryn. This is her first time leading the parade.
TWO DAYS TO THE COMPETITION
The dancers begin by practising for the parade in Canton, Mississippi. Mimi gets excited about Camryn leading and Tina reminds her that Kayla is still the captain. Later, they start practising for the pom-pom category. The Dolls are having issues with their stamina but Sunjai makes cuts this week for pom-pom. Practice for stands begins and Dianna offers Sunjai a position as an alternate in a stand. Sunjai gets excited about this offer and goes to tell her mother. Selena excitedly tells the other mothers, who are happy for Sunjai but think Selena is making too big a deal of it. Tina tells of the time that Kayla was an alternate and Tina brought her camera out but Kayla did not perform.
ONE DAY TO THE COMPETITION
Before Kayla is home from school, Tina asks Terrell to come to Kayla's competition and he says he will be there. Terrell realises how important this is to Kayla so he promises to come.
The next night is the parade, both the Dancing Dolls and Baby Dancing Dolls perform in the parade. Selena and Rittany walk in the parade too, holding the banner, and Tina is seen walking at the back of the parade. Camryn initially struggles with leading the parade as she kept drifting to the left, but she improves by the end.
THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION
At the Dollhouse, the Dolls are ready to get on the bus when Dianna gets a call from Neva. Neva tells her she is excited to see Dianna and the Dolls at the competition. The team get on the bus and Dianna receives another phone call. The competition coordinator, Adia, informs Dianna that the competition is cancelled due to roads being in bad condition in Memphis. The Dolls return to the Dollhouse and Miss D decides to continue working on their stands against the Divas. Kayla suggests a street battle with the Divas of Olive Branch and after a brief phone call, the Divas agree to the battle for the next day. They resume practice for stands and Sunjai gets a feature part in one of the stands, playing a member of the Divas of Olive Branch.
THE DAY OF THE STREET BATTLE
Kayla's dad turns up at the street battle and Kayla is delighted to see him. During the battle, the Divas of Olive Branch turned their backs on the Dolls due to the Dolls throwing a stand that mocks one of the Diva's stands. The Divas have their backs turned for every subsequent stand thrown by the Dolls. During the next stand thrown by the Divas, the Dolls and the parents lay down on the floor, mocking how boring the stand was. In the next stand, Dianna joins the girls on the floor and leads a stand. The Divas have no response and thus declare the Dolls the winners of the street battle.
At the end of the battle, one of the fans from the Divas of Olive Branch runs up to the Dolls and screams in their faces. This incites an argument between both sides leading to some of the girls walking off in tears. Camryn is hit with a pom-pom which enrages Mimi who has to be held back by another parent. Neva apologises to the Dolls and Miss D for what happened and Miss D decides to walk away.
