Synopsis[]

The Dancing Dolls compete against their rivals in the Bay Area Battle in Memphis, but several of the dancers and their moms fear a risky strategy by Miss D will cost them the win. Meanwhile, Sunjai is forced to choose between performing or attending her high school prom.

Summary[]

This week's competition is in Memphis, Tennessee at the 'Bay Area Battle', hosted by the Mighty Marchers of Memphis, Tennessee. The Dolls are the six times grand champions of this competition. There is a field show and a stand battle. The overall score determines who becomes the Grand Champion.

TWO DAYS TO THE COMPETITION

Miss D decides to use the krabs (the term used for the new girls) in the field show and lays the responsibility for them onto her new captain's squad. The mothers express their dislike of including the krabs in the field show and they also discuss their hopes for this next season. Rittany hopes that Crystianna can become more confident and vocal. Mimi hopes that Camryn can become more like Kayla. Selena hopes for Sunjai to finally become part of the battle squad. Tina says she wishes Kayla could go back to when she was 10 so she can relive the experience.

ONE DAY TO THE COMPETITION

Sunjai's prom is on the same day as the competition and she has decided to go to prom, she tells Miss D with encouragement from Camryn, Kayla and Caleda. Miss D pretends she is angry about it at first but then she laughs and tells Sunjai she can go. Miss D just asks Sunjai to tell her further in advance next time. Selena is excited to hear the news.

Next, we look at practice with the Prancing Tigerettes, Quincy talks about how he formed his passion for dance and why he formed the Tigerettes.

Back with the Dolls, the battle squad are practising. Miss D tells the girls that they need to be angrier in the stands.

THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION

At Mimi's house, Calvin comes to tell Mimi that he is struggling to get Camryn to wake up. Mimi heads up to Camryn's room and has to drag Camryn out of bed as she is still sleeping.

At the competition, the girls are practising the field show positioning on the dance floor, but they get distracted by the noisy crowds coming in which causes Miss D to shout at them. Back in the dressing room, Camryn helps out some of the krabs who are struggling with the choreography.

In the meantime, Sunjai is preparing for prom. Both Selena and JJ are there to see her off. Sunjai sends a picture of her dress to Kayla and a good luck message.

The competition begins with the field show and the Prancing Tigerettes compete first, where they have a few mistakes. Then the Dolls are performing and Miss D feels nervous about the krabs performing. Overall, the team do a great job. The stand battle is next, where they are battling against the Prancing Tigerettes only. Both teams perform well in the stand battle.
