"Behind the Battles" is the eleventh episode of Season 1 of Bring It!. It first aired on May 14th, 2014.

Synopsis[]

Memorable performances and defining moments from the first season. Brand new interviews and never-before-seen footage provide a fresh perspective on the lives of Miss D, the dancers, their families and their rivals, giving viewers an even greater understanding of just what it takes to be a Dancing Doll!

Also, interviews are conducted with leaders and members of the Dancing Dolls most memorable rival teams.

Summary[]

This episode premiers numerous never-before-seen clips from the show. The first one is an unseen stand battle between the Dancing Dolls and the Prancing Stepperettes from the episode Shut Up and Dance.

Next, we look at a stand battle against the Prancing Tigerettes from the Tigerette's perspective, from the episode Sunjai in Stilettos. We have interviews with Quincy and the captain of the team, Alexis, who has been captain for four years at this stage. She reveals she forgot the other half of the stand during the captain's battle, leading to the Tigerettes losing the stand battle.

Next, we look at the stand battle from Battle in Memphis between the Dolls and the Divas of Olive Branch from the Diva's perspective. Interviews with Raven, Neva's daughter and captain of the team, are included. Neva gives her opinion on Dianna's reaction to there being a seventh judge at the competition (which caused a lot of controversies).

Now, we look at the Baby Dancing Dolls. The captain of the team, Kayla, is interviewed as well as dancer, Taelar. We watch an unaired stand battle between the Baby Dancing Dolls and the Diva Time Premier Steppers.

Finally, we focus on the Dancing Doll Parents. The importance of the parents coming to competitions and supporting their daughters is addressed. Kayla's father, Terrell, talks about how he always wanted his daughter to play basketball as she grew up and how proud he is of her for being captain of the Dancing Dolls. Camryn's father, Calvin Harris, is interviewed. The episode ends with JJ talking about Sunjai and how supportive he is of her.
