Meanwhile, Faith and DDP Dana take a trip to Atlanta to explore future acting and singing opportunities.
Summary[]
This week's competition is in Itta Bena, Mississippi at the 'Hip Hop Fever' competition. There will be a creative dance.
THREE DAYS TO THE COMPETITION
Dominic is driving Faith and Dana to Atlanta and they are all excited about being there. Dominic tries to convince Faith about moving there but she is wary because she would be moving in the middle of the school year. Dominic takes Dana and Faith to a talent manager and the manager tells them all about her current clients. The manager is interested in working with Faith and is impressed with her dance skills.
Back in Jackson, Miss D has begun practice and talks about this week's competition, which will be a hip hop competition. She then introduces Marquell Seals, a coach from the Birmingham Dollhouse, who is their guest choreographer for the week. She then says she will not be there on Friday as she is opening the third Dollhouse in Georgia, so Marquell will be in charge. She addresses Crystianna, Makya, and Kanarie about the probation they are on. She tells the three girls that they have not done anything in the past three weeks to show her they want to be the captain of the team, so she is leaving them on probation. If they do not prove themselves this week, then she will only be considering Daija, Princess, and Shakira. Then, she sends the dancers home who are not in uniform so Star and Sky leave.
Selena is not too happy and she goes inside to talk to Dianna. She walks inside the studio and Miss D tells her to go outside and she will speak to her there. Dianna comes outside and Selena asks what happened to her daughters. Dianna says they were not in uniform and Selena says there are other girls not in uniform which Miss D justifies. Miss D gets frustrated with Selena and walks away. Selena follows her inside and Dianna shouts at her to get out of her studio. The two start to shout at each other and Dianna ends the argument and goes back inside.
TWO DAYS TO THE COMPETITION
The D. Williams Dance Company, Dianna's hip hop company from Birmingham, are at the Dollhouse. They are working on a hip hop routine and Ken'Janae is leading the routine. Marquell tries to get the girls to focus and he makes them do burpees when they do not listen to him. He thinks that the Jackson studio is missing a lot of discipline.
The mothers wonder is Selena will be back and Mimi tells them that she has spoken to Selena and she is still upset and will not be there today.
Over in Atlanta, Faith is auditioning for the talent agency. She is meeting Brandon Jay and JayO. They meet the girl group Pink Heart and she will be singing one of the group's songs. She sings for them and they want her to be more confident. When she sings the second time, they love how she sings. Dana is impressed with their trip so far.
ONE DAY TO THE COMPETITION
Mimi and Valisa meet up with Crystianna, Makya, and Kanarie so they can brainstorm how they can get back into Dianna's good books. Makya suggests some things but Mimi does not think they will work. Crystianna suggests they write letters from all the dancers about the things they appreciate about Dianna. Valisa and Mimi like this idea.
Faith meets with Dianna at her new studio. Dianna gives her a tour and then they sit down in Dianna's new office. Faith explains her situation between her parents. Dianna asks Faith what she wants to do and tells her to ignore her parent's wants and focus on her own.
That evening, the Dolls are practising with Marquell and he lets them have a five-minute break. Makya gathers the girls and asks them to write good things on a note card for Miss D. The girls tie their notes to a potted tree they bring into the Dollhouse.
Over at Selena's house, Selena is apologetic to the twins for her fight with Dianna. Sky starts crying and then Selena starts to cry too. Selena says she will make amends with Dianna.
THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION
Empire Dance Company perform first with an army-themed routine and the DDPs are impressed with their performance. Then FIYA Dance University performed with a circus-themed dance. The Dancing Dolls perform last and Dianna and Marquell are surprised at how well the team performed. Ken'Janae's solo goes well and Marquell compliments her energy and vibe.
The awards ceremony begins and FIYA Dance University get second place and the Dolls get first place. After the awards ceremony is over, Dianna is surprised by her team with their appreciation gift. Makya, Kanarie, and Crystianna do speeches for the team. Miss D is touched by the gesture but she still needs to think about whether she will take the girls off probation.
